Killer of missing Leeds teen jailed for life – Yorks Humber

Martin Bell was today sentenced to life with a minimum of 12 years at Leeds Crown Court after pleading guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility for killing Leeds woman Gemma Simpson, in 2000. Bell buried Gemma’s body at North Yorkshire beauty spot, Brimham Rocks, where it lay undiscovered for 14 years until Bell led police to the site earlier this year. —
