Jason Packer sentenced for possessing extreme pornography and indecent images of children – East Midlands

Jason Packer, 45, from Portsmouth, was sentenced on Monday 21 December to 12 months’ imprisonment at Portsmouth Crown Court for four offences of possessing extreme pornography and 13 counts of possessing indecent images of children. He had been acquitted of one offence of possessing extreme pornography. —

The last of 11 defendants convicted for their part in a multi-million pound London conspiracy to sell on stolen high value smartphones was sentenced at Blackfriars Crown Court today (21/12/15). Co-conspirator Nirmohan Bhatia was involved in the supply and selling of the phones, which were either stolen from London tube and rail users or bought using forged or stolen bank details. —

Man sentenced for prolific voyeurism – London

George Thomas, 38, was sentenced today to four years imprisonment at Inner London Crown Court for 10 counts of voyeurism and five counts of making indecent images of children. Each of these counts relate to multiple offences. These offences took place between 2009 and 2015 when Thomas used covert recording equipment to film women, men and children in coffee shop lavatories around London. —

Eleven men found guilty of child sexual exploitation – East Midlands

Ten men have been found guilty at Bradford Crown Court today of a total of 16 charges of raping a child. An eleventh man, Mohammed Akram, was convicted of sexual activity with a child and a twelfth man, Khalid Mahmood, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to charges of raping a child. —
